What Is Your Solution To The Housing Crisis

Recently I was watching Jim Cramer host of Mad Money on CNBC taliking about how to invest in the current market. Cramer is not perfect but if you watch this video you’ll see that he predicted th current meltdown a year ago.
Cramer Made Two significant points ;

  1. Keep whatever money you won’t need for the next 5 years out of the market.
  2. A housing recovery is the key to market stabilization.

If you are a regular reader of Metrocrete you know that I believe that everything related to a house or commerical proerty starts with concrete. Few know anything about concrete other than it is hard. Click through Metrocrete and you will learn that concrete, though it seems simple is very complex and versatile.

My goal is to educate about concrete, the products, manufacturers, solutions and benefits. As a property rehabber I have used all kinds of concrete related products and coatings to improve value. The results have been highly profitable.

Addressing Cramers comments “What is the solution to the housing crisis?” I think starts with knowledge and education. For example, did you know that 70% of moisture problems in basements are a result of faulty gutters? Yes there is relevance between concrete and gutters. If you didn’t know this you would overspend thousands of dollars trying to turn your basement into a usable space.

What do you think is the solution? Send me your comments at tips@metrocrete.com or click the comment tab below. Tell everyone you know to express their ideas here. Don’t think that our government or the so called “Financial Geniuses” we watch on TV are going to solve the problem. We need to figure it out for ourselves. The housing market is broken, we need to fix it.

I am going to share your comments with our government and business leaders and let them know what we think. We’re going to demand answers and use these answers to find solutions.
I eagerly look forward to your comments.

    I read your blog on a regular basis since I get a lot of good information on how to renovate my home cheaply. This fall I re-surfaced an old concrete patio and my neighbors think I put down expensive flagstone!

    Your new article on the housing crises is interesting. Seems to me if the government is handing out billions from the taxpayers as a rescue to the banks, then the least the banks could do is rescue the taxpayers when we need help. If they could cut our interest rates so that we could make our payments (and pay down some principal) on our loans, it might speed up the recovery here. The banks have been making money on loans and fees hand over fist for years. Maybe they can take a pay cut for once. It costs them money to foreclose. They would be better off to work out a new payment with the homeowner. Even if it’s a 2 percent loan.
