About
My name is Ed Winslow and the author of Metrocrete.com I’ve been in the Real Estate business since 1987. I started as a Real Estate broker with CB Richard Ellis in NYC where I specialized in selling small to mid sized buildings to investors and users like retailers and companies. I brokered approximately 200 buildings from 1987 to 2000. My last 2 years I spent at Sotheby’s International Realty before forming my own business in 2001. I also spent 5 years as a Board Director of Saracreek, a Dutch based REIT with investments in the U.S.
In about 1998 I started investing and rehabbing buildings. Looking for ways to add value I started working with various stuccos and decorative concrete applications. I used them on building facades, interior walls and floors.
In 2004 I stopped trying to buy real estate. Prices were getting too high for my risk tolerance. Since then I have been rehabbing all kinds of small to mid-sized commercial buildings and residential homes for investors and end users.
I always use decorative concrete and various coatings in my projects. It could be stamped concrete, pavers, precast concrete stone, skim coats, stuccos and epoxies.
In January 2008 I started Metrocrete.com and Metrocrete.TV as a way to educate how to use these products to add value to a property. I also research the products and manufacturers to find out whats new and where to get the products.
There are a lot of great new products related to decorative coatings coming out daily. As consumers learn about the products the demand increases. I get numerous e-mails daily from banks and buyers of foreclosed properties asking about products for improving curb appeal.
This is a growth market.
I hope you find the information on Metrocrete to be valuable. If you have any comments please post them. If you want to contact me I can be reached at 203-762-1366
