Lake Charles Pool Decks and Patios

Lake Charles Louisiana has a lot of pool decks and patios. When residential and commercial property owners need a decorative finish Ben Lofton of Lofton Decorative Concrete comes to the rescue. In the photo here you can see that the concrete patio was

in pretty rough shape, unattractive and full of cracks. Ben starts out by getting the slab clean and prepped. All the cracks are repaired.

This one was a patio at a residential home requiring quite a bit of patience. The existing concrete slab was resurfaced with a concrete overlay using CTI decorative concrete products. Once the overlay was dry Ben applied a black concrete overlay by spraying with a hopper gun. This is a very tricky application, when working with black and white there is no room for error. Even little specs show up as blemishes.

The photo of the porch shows a unique application of a medallion achieved using graphics called “Flattoos”, stencils specially designed to adhere to concrete. Flattoos are made and designed by Surface Gel Tech in Mesa Arizona.

Like with all pool decks and patios in the Lake Charles area completed by Lofton Decorative Concrete they use CTI sealers that will hold up to the elements. They typicially add a non slip additive to ensure steady footing even when the surface is wet.

In addition to decorative concrete application on pool decks and patios in Lake Charles Louisiana they work on all kinds of commercial applications like retail stores and restaurants. Due to the versalility of concrete coatings there are unlimited applications both for floors and vertical applications. Results are extremely durable, quick (3-5 days is typical) and cost effective.

For more information about the process, options and pricing for resurfacing pool decks and patios in Lake Charles contact Ben Lofton at 337-274-7325 or click the link here to view their web site Lofton Decorative Concrete

I’d like to thanks everyone for showing such keen interest in concrete crack repair and swimming pool deck resurfacing blog recently. Lots of the questions pertained to resurfacing patios and walkways and what products should be used for resurfacing concrete pool decks and driveways.

Well here are some resources.

If you head over to http://www.metrocrete.tv/ there are two excellent tutorial videos showing “How To” resurface existing concrete with a Spray Coat and another using a stampable concrete overlay. Both videos were created by Master Decorative Concrete artisan Juan Romero. Juan runs his decorative concrete business from the Daytona Florida area. His website is http://www.artcretemedia.com/

The videos take you step by step through the process of resurfacing pool decks, driveways, patios and walkways with simple and advanced applications. The advanced applications use multi-colors and stencils to create a high end remodeled surface. Residential and commercial applications are covered.

The videos are ideal for anyone. If you’re a home owner or commercial property owner they are well worth the investment. The more educated you are about the process the better the result when working with a contractor. The videos are also ideal for builders, contractors, architects and landscape designers.

If you’re interested in the companies who make products for resurfacing patios and walkways, pool decks and driveways the following list will be a good resource. many of the products can be used for wall applications.
